Michael,

Sorry about that. Someone sent me a pic from the Watsonville Airshow and I thought that was it.

It's been replaced with the correct one.

Mitakuye,

Great story! Thanks for sharing.

My wife and I have a piece of property in Sedona that we intend to build on one day. Every year, we go back and redo our wedding ceremony on it in our wedding outfits!

Jeff,

If you scroll down through my blog, there's a color picture of an "apparition" INSIDE the B-17!

Patricia,

They are definitely attached to the airplanes but I also feel they are connected to what I intend to create with Fantasy of Flight!

There was nothing more than a cow pasture when I arrived . . . and to date . . . no one has seen the spirit of a cow!

Do you believe the spirits at Fantasy of Flight are attached to the aircraft or part of the original site and what may have been there before you?

Mr. Weeks,

I live in Lakeland and over the last several years become interested in WWII, particularly the role the bombers played, especially the B-17 Flying Fortress. When I learned Fantasy had one, I had to see it. Little did I know the Piccadilly Princess would be set up in that awesome immersion display. I went through it twice, each time recalling what I read about the wars and trying to imagine what the airmen of WWII went through. Your first class display made it easy to do. I was simply blown away. To make a long story shorter, thank you so much for having that display. It is amazing!!!!

(ps) The B-25 and B-26 Widowmaker are cool too. If you are ever offering rides, put my name on the list!

Kermit,
As a pilot I have slipped the surly bonds of earth, many times. As a Spiritual being having a human existence, I have slipped these bonds many more times.
I commend you on sharing your Spiritual journey while weaving it with your human existence. It is our duty, of the enlightened to illuminate what cannot be seen, so that others can shed their fears and let their life/light shine also.
I became a pilot many moons ago by following my Fathers passion of flight. He was my mentor, my friend and my favorite passenger. I will never forget my first flight carrying a passenger, my Father. We flew all over Southern California from my FBO at Chino and had a great day. After landing, taxi and parking I boastfully filled the cabin with all my talents of our day, the traffic, the landings the precision as my Father sat patiently listening. With a pause in my lecture, he asked me “are you done”, to which I said yes. He then proceeded to say “while it’s true you did have your head on a swivel son and your landings were pretty good, a sparrow should never tell an eagle what it’s like to fly” He has since passed to the other side and I have not flown since then, I miss him dearly. I took his ashes up on a B29G Sentimental Journey, which is another beautiful story in itself.
My father was in Long Beach for Howard Hughes Spruce Goose flight and the black and white picture he took as well as all his other memorabilia can be seen in the air museum at Falcon Field Arizona.
I recently moved from Sedona, Arizona where I fine-tuned my unseen abilities, to Georgia and will someday visit you.
Thanks Kermit!

Your photo of the S-43 at "Watsonville" is incorrect. That's a photo I took of the S-43 at the 1995 Wings Over Houston. I notice that my citation has been removed - it was probably downloaded from Flickr and edited. Please restore the citation, credit the photo correctly or remove it from your blog.
Thanks

Robert,

Thanks for the heads up on the Lloyd P. Nolen Award. Some things just slip through the cracks. I think I was focused on the Sikorsky S-43 at the time!
